La Race of Champions 2013 es cancelada

Se venía rumoreando durante los últimos días después de una información salida en la página portuguesa Sportmotores. Hoy lo ha terminado de confirmar la organización de la Carrera de Campeones. La ROC 2013 queda cancelada debido al revuelo político que hay actualmente en Bangkok y los actos que se esperan se celebren en el Estadio Nacional precisamente el mismo fin de semana en el que estaba programada la prueba (del 14 al 15 de diciembre).


Tal y como anuncia el comunicado de prensa, se intentará buscar otras alternativas, como por ejemplo un cambio de fecha, para que se pueda disputar finalmente uno de los fines de semana “grandes” del automovilismo. De esta forma, la Carrera de Campeones y la Copa de las Naciones no podrá asistir de nuevo a la pelea entre pilotos como Tom Kristensen, Sébastien Ogier o Michael Schumacher. Será la primera vez en 25 años que no se disputa esta competición anual.

Hoy han comunicado oficialmente que la edición 2013 no va a celebrarse.

The Sports Authority of Thailand and the ROC organisers have been unable to find a new date for the 2013 event, originally on December 14-15
